Sneak peek at Battlefield 4 vehicles

Battlefield has always had a strong focus on using all modes of transportation in battle.  The same is true of the upcoming Battlefield 4 vehicles.  And, like everything these days, these cars and helicopters were made in China!

The official post from EA confirms these new Chinese vehicles:

  • Type 99 MBT
  • ZFB-05 Armored Car
  • Z-9 Haitun Transport Heli
  • Z-10W Attack Heli
  • DV15 Interceptor Attack Boat

Additionally, as amphibious combat will play a bit part in the upcoming Battlefield game, the RCB-90 (made in the USA) will but used.  However, these are all just numbers and letters to me, so here are some pretty pictures!  First, we have a beautiful screen shot of the Chinese Z-10W Attack Heli:

Now, the Battlefield guys don’t have any more screen shots of their vehicles, so here’s what I could rustle up from the inter-webs.  First up, here is a picture of the Type 99 MBT (also known as ZTZ-99 and WZ-123):

This is the ZFB-05 armored car, a 4×4 primarily used for riot control and peacekeeping missions.

And here you get to see the DV-15 skipping across the waves.

Lots of nice toys to play with in the upcoming Battlefield 4.  It’s nice to see the focus on amphibious combat – nothing like waves, water and super speed boats to make for an intense battle.

If this is all the vehicles then i feel that there should be at least an extra 5 vehicles added. Variety is king!

You can actually download a mod for ARMA which has all the SANDF units. Dont know if the units differs statistically but looks great though.

Would we also have to pay Zuma his kick back on these?

I’m going to download the mod and pretend that I’m Lindiwe Sisulu (former minister of Defence). My troops are going into the field with nothing but a ball of string and some toothpaste.

You let your men go in with toothpaste? Sisies!! All that real men need are hair on their back and sunblock. Because those virtual rays are one of the leading causes of cancer.

This is true, real men don’t need toothpaste, they brush their teeth with ash and the blood of their enemies. Ok, I’m going to pretend that I’m Lindiwe Sisulu and send them into the Congo with nothing but a meal voucher and some taxi fare for the ride home.

Hmmm… I forgot about the taxi fair. This a predicament, well they don’t reeeaaally need two shoes? One should suffice. Its like our old comrades in WW2. “One man has a shoe for the left foot, the next has one for the right. If your comrade dies, pick up his shoe and carry on!”.

Nkandla is going to be awesome! I’m hoping they build the orbital missile defence grid soon, or the bunkermissile-proof underground bunker. Always good to know our taxes are going to a worthy cause.

If I was Dr Comrade President General Admiral Zuma, I’d invest in a replica of the Iron Throne, and build a proper castle.

Can we ever truly put a price on the protection of our leaders? I say use it all!! Who needs roads and sanitation? We definitely don’t!

Bro in all honesty I wouldn’t even mind if Sir Dr Comrade President General “and all round good guy” Zuma has an Iron Throne. Hell I might even take him more serious then!

Have you seen the waves in the water? it’s so awesome. DICE have also confirmed that the waves are not client side, so everyone see’s the same wave on the same map at the same time. WICKED.

Nice, although I got confused with how the layout on your website works. Descriptions below each picture looks like it relates to the picture right above it. When in fact, it relates to the image below the description.
