South Park: The Stick of Truth delayed to 2014

Stick of truth

Although Cartman is awesome, my favorite South Park character is Butters. Apparently this is common among women, but he has that strange mix of making me laugh far too hard, and wanting to put him in my pocket and take him home with me. But it turns out that I have to wait until next year to have Butters in my home.

Ubisoft has announced that instead of releasing in December this year, The Stick of Truth will only become available 4 March 2014. Disappointing news – I was looking forward to playing with this over the holidays. However, if the game needs more time to make it the awesomeness it deserves to be, then I suppose we need to give them their time. In a troll-like response from Matt Stone and Trey Parker:

“We always wanted the game to feel like you’re actually in an episode of South Park. Getting the game up to the crappy standards of the show has been a real challenge and we’re excited to say it’s taken way longer than we thought it would.”

But all is not lost – here’s a new gameplay video for your viewing pleasure. Hope this soothes your pain, or at least makes you excited to hurry up and wait for the game to be released.
