Hey, remember Starcraft Ghost? It was meant to be a third person action game set in the Starcraft universe, that would have you playing as Nova, Terran’s psychic espionage operative and Dominion’s most powerful Ghost. It was cancelled, and has become one of the most legendary bits of vapourware in the gaming industry.
While that was never meant to be, this is the closest thing you’re likely to get. StarCraft II is getting a mission pack that centres on Nova Terra. As Nova, you’ll have to infiltrate bases, intercept invasion forces, use fancy new experimental tech, and go about doing top-secret spy stuff. Exciting.
“The reign of Emperor Valerian Mengsk is under threat. Along with facing political opposition, several Dominion ghosts have gone missing in action while under his rule. Their trail leads to a secretive Terran group, the Defenders of Man. As Nova Terra, a psionic ghost trained to be the perfect covert operative, you must delve into the conspiracy before it’s too late for the Terran Dominion.”
Starcraft II’s Nova Covert Ops: Mission Bundle is now available to pre-order, giving you a stealthier take on traditional RTS gameplay. It offers 9 missions (released as three packs of three missions). Blizzard says that the first Nova mission pack iswill be out on 30 March in Europe, 2016, with all of them being out before year’s end.
You ca n order it now, for $15 or €15, and doesn’t require the full retail version of Starcraft II; you’ll only need the free-to-play starter edition.
Here’s a look at the cancelled Ghost, because why not.

I know how I can try this game before release…
Start up The Division
Create a new character named Nova.
Go straight to the dark zone and become a rogue agent.

Okay splitting up a small 9 mission expansion into 3 x 3 mission packs.
Is Blizzard experimenting with the “how many times can fold a piece of paper in half” problem on games?

No thanks, although it looks interesting it doesn’t feel like it’s worth 15 Euros
