Ster Kinekor – Welcome back to earth.

you_are_here.jpg A post by MooDy on the 360 forums, highlighting Ster Kinekor’s new pricing, has some interesting implications. SK’s pricing on its AAA titles has reverted to being sane, down from their ludicrous pre-Christmas highs.

While it could be a crazy random happenstance, it seems recent events may have allowed the distributor to realise that ripping off your customer base does little to endear yourself. Whatever the cause, it is refreshing to see a company not fall back on the clichéd Rand/Dollar excuse, and actually lower pricing.

This leaves just one major South African game distributor with preposterous retail pricing. Here’s looking at you, MI.

(PS : Those of you holding off purchasing LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2, go get them now, they’re grrrrrrrreat!)

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
