So neither of the two new products revealed had anything to do with MGS4 on the 360. Which was not the least bit suprising… However now Kotaku.com, who has been fuelling this rumour for months, has an article giving 10 9 reasons why MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive and will stay that way.
1). Jack and Hideo said it was an exclusive at E3. In front of many people and on stage, even. Jack later told us to our collective face.
2). Kaz sent flowers for the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party. Sending flowers for events like this is a Japanese custom. Street Fighter II creator Yoshiki Okamoto sent flowers, too. Kaz’s were prettier, though.
3). Sony sent Hideo a gaming cake and booze for the MG 20th Party. Gaming cake? Serious.
4). Kojima Prods. have stated that MGS4 was being developed especially for PS3 hardware.
5). Sony is producing the Metal Gear Solid movie.
6). The Metal Gear 20th Anniversary cell phone is a Sony product.
7). At the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party, Phil Harrison appeared in a video letter. I didn’t really hear it because I was too busy trying to talk to the Microsoft Japan honcho.
8). Hideo told Luke it was for the PS3. No way he could lie to Luke. No way.
9). Snake uses a SIXAXIS in MGS4.
Personally I think number 9, which is the image above, could really be the clincher. Would Konami actually go back and change that section of the game to use a Xbox 360 console or another device instead? It is possible but not likely.

Just saw the gameplay trailer of MGS4. Looking quite good although I hope they tweak the AI as its stupidly blind in some instances. Be it true that this was just a demonstration of the game. Roll on 2008.

Yeah I just watched that as well and to be honest I was very disappointed… I am just writing an article about it so stay tuned 🙂

Either way, neither Hideo nor Sony ‘own’ Metal Gear, that is for Konami to decide if and when it comes to the 360. I think it will, but possibly with a different title. However, it won’t be till at least 6 months to a year after the PS3 version comes out.
