That non existent trigger button

35 second read

Another of the big stories going around at the moment is the question of which console controller is better.

More precisely, how the R1 button on the PS3 controller sucks…

Sarcastic gamer has gone off on a very long winded rant about the Dualshock and how it doesn’t compare to the 360 really. Well you can read that rant through the link but I have to say I find it really is a personal opinion.

I hate the SIXAXIS, it’s weak, flimsy and light. Not to mention uncomfortable… however other people think it’s the best thing sinced sliced bread…

This is going to be the usual argument:

    Xbox360 controler:
    build quality

    crap d-pad
    too big?
    rechargable battery not standard

    PS3 controler
    light? (con as well)
    rechargable battery included

    build quality (light)
    rumble (only implemented later on)

Hey lazy is this your new installation?
This topic seems to be coming up a lot lately!
It will always come down to personal opinion and whichever controller you are accostombed to.
Persnally I dont like the 360 controller cos I think it feels cheap and nasty.

PS its the “R2” thats crap, not R1!

What puts me off about the SIXAXIS controller, is it’s just too light. It feels like, if you drop it, it will shatter.

Once the Dualshock 3 is readily available in SA, I’ll prolly change my opinion about the PS3 controller… just a sorrow that you need to buy it separately (would be nice if Sony had some sort of swap-out policy).

Nah not mine, I made my viewpoint clear a while back.

I just find that it is coming up a lot at the moment, to be honest I am not sure why it is either..

But since Nick is on leave I am taking everything I can find 😛

If you don’t like either controller than get a third-party controller like what Logitech, XFX and Genius have being making. Sorted 😉

For anybody that miss the Xbox 360 triggers, I will highly recommend this:
