It’s that time of the week, where we once again round up the various assorted bits of the last week of news, and blend them together into one smoothie of genitalia jokes and WTF vitamins. Gentlemen, brace yourselves!
Best Story
You’d think that the news of us making it onto Metacritic would be an obvious contender for best story of the week. Wrong! That honour goes to something far, far more important that will shape your destiny for years to come.
I’m talking about…that Kingdom Rush update. And I can bet you right now, the entire LG crew is trying to find some way to ditch work so that we can beat those new maps.
Just one more stage, I promise…
Worst Story
Its safe to say that Zynga has had a fair share of criticism thrown at it in the past, mostly due to the fact that their games are soulless copycat versions of better products on the market.
But actively justifying that approach to creating interactive content? For shame Zynga, for shame.
Best ION Header
To put it in the proper vernacular, Danielle Sharp is like sharp sharp mah bru.
Most Comments
Geoff thought that he had this one in the bag, but it looks like.. oh wait, Geoff totally did ask this award if his hanky smelt like chloroform before he shoved it into the boot of his car and drove off.
Despite a dastardly attempt from Gavin to up his own comments on the Metacritic article by replying back to EVERYONE, Geoff still wins hands down, 164 comments to 161.
It’s been a good week for comments, from discussions about WOW possibly going to console, to the back-slapping response to the Metacritic announcement (Aw yeah, keep on patting my back with praise, that feels goooooooood), but asking if Call of Duty has ruined FPS games as they are?
Man, that was one heck of a debate.
Least Comments
It also gives me no small amount of joy while I sit here and type this, to announce that Geoff has also gotten the least comments possible, thanks to his God of War Ascension article about upcoming DLC.
I tried to ask Geoff his thoughts on this, but I’m afraid that he couldn’t hear me from inside the pillow fort that he had constructed from the office couch.
Batman Of The Week
Much like most of my working day, Geoff has once again snuck up from behind and left me face down and in pain. Er, wait, that doesn’t sound right…
We’re currently sitting at a 2% gap on the Batman-meter on our backend, thanks to you lot deciding to have a big discussion again about Call of Duty.
Why guys, why?
Best Header Image
Screw it, Geoff can’t have everything this week. I’m claiming best header image, thanks to a joke that maybe three people in total will get about Sean Connery, Celebrity Jeopardy and making life hell for Alex Trebek.
THEN THE DAY ISH MINE, GEOFF!
Comment Of The Week
Deon Steyn wins this one, but not for a comment technically. No, it’s for elbow-dropping my nostalgia by derailing the COD debate to sneak in some Honey Boo Boo nightmare fuel.
You are a bad, bad man.
