Modern Warfare 3 – co-developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games – is set to launch next month. It’s biggest competitor this year, DICE’s Battlefield 3 gets a retail release tomorrow; and what better way to steal some of its thunder than by getting a launch trailer out…2 weeks before it actually launches. Cheekily billing itself as the “most anticipated game in history,” Modern Warfare 3 sees the world in flames, “smouldering in ruin.”
This is “what greed has brought you,” admonishes ultranationalist antagonist Vladamir Makarov. Slick trailer, but the most anticipated game in history? This looks nothing like Half-Life 3!
