The Walking Dead 400 Days

The next Walking Dead DLC will be releasing this week, and the next. The Walking Dead: 400 Days is the link between the first 2 seasons.

The Walking Dead: 400 Days chronicles the aftermath of the undead outbreak through the eyes of five new characters as the group struggles to survive the first 400 days of the apocalypse. The five characters will be playable in any order while their connected short stories are centered in and around a Georgia truck stop.

“After the incredible response to the first season of The Walking Dead, we wanted to surprise fans with something that offers a new angle on the world they love that’s connected to Season One and the upcoming Season Two through the choices that they make,” said Dan Connors, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games in a pres release. “400 Days is a great piece of connective tissue for fans to sink their teeth into and we’re thrilled that it’s to be included on PlayStation Vita as part of Season One.”

IGN have confirmed the release dates for the DLC:

  • Tuesday, July 2nd – PlayStation Network (North America)
  • Wednesday, July 3rd – PC/Mac (Steam, Telltale Games Store)
  • Friday, July 5th – Xbox Live (Worldwide)
  • Wednesday, July 10th – PlayStation Network (Europe)
  • Thursday, July 11th – iOS (Worldwide)

I have the first 5 episodes, got them cheap on PS+. Only finished the first one. How this got GOTY last year is a mystery to me… I love the series, but this really didn’t manage to pull me in at all…. Will try episode 2 sometime…

This is another reason I hate Activision. If they had released their crappy Walking Dead game first, we would have never experienced these wonderful games.

Lord, if you can hear me, please let them fix the infuriating lag between QTEs in this game!

    Thank you.

If it wasn’t for the way they ruined the idea of the game in episode 3 and onwards, this would have been AWESOME news. I have however not even started episode 5, even though I LOOOOOVED episode 1, 2 and the very beginning of 3.

The creators became lazy with the choice options and taking it through the chapters and completely forces you on certain paths, all at once, which was an easy cop-out to only have one or two stories to run with in the end.
