Witcher 3 hunt

The Witcher 3 has been getting a lot of attention. It’s highly anticipated and is all plenty of people want to talk about. However, not all people get it – what makes The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt so special? For me, this launch trailer perfectly encapsulates it.

Without any ado, here is the trailer:

And because no one should miss this video, here’s a non-YouTube link for those who can’t YouTube in their current location.

I love the way that the video shows the personality of Geralt and the history of the world of the game. It’s not just that he’s a professional monster hunter, there’s so much more to it. There’s lore and sexiness and weight to the whole thing. He’s cunning and knows his marks, but that doesn’t mean that he won’t take a beating. It’s all about using everything at your disposal to win, all for a bit of money. He isn’t taking quests out of the goodness of his heart, he’s doing it to survive as a mutant monster killer in troubling times. There’s more to the story and a whole lot more character to discover, but this scene, this moment, is the core of what makes The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt so exciting. This is just one of many experiences that players can have, and it looks and feels amazing.

After what felt like an eternal wait, The Witcher 3 is finally almost upon us. 19 May is just around the corner and everyone can get their hands on this title. Oh, and notice at the end of the video – CD Projekt Red is hiring. Now that must be an incredible place to work considering the games they create.
