No Limits

…But it’s for mobile devices only. Heyoh!

The next Need For Speed game will be racing onto your devices in 2015 under the title of Need For Speed: No Limits. It’s being developed by Real Racing 3 studio Firemonkeys, for Android and Apple devices. If you remember Real Racing 3, you might remember the very worst example of freemium ever made, as that game was riddled with micro-transactions for every possible action that was available. In other words, it perfectly translated the crippling cost of actually owning a car, into a digital medium.

Here’s the first look at the game, with rally superstar Ken Block:

“We’ve built No Limits from the ground up to deliver the insanely-fast driving and incredible graphics that fans have come to expect from Need for Speed – all in the palm of your hand,” executive producer Robert Huebner wrote in a new EA blog post.

The team at Firemonkeys has also been bringing Need for Speed to mobile gamers for years, and it’s an honor and a privilege to once again get behind the wheel of this incredible franchise and redefine street racing on mobile.

It hasn’t been a memorable year for the Need For Speed franchise. 2014 is the first year in a very long time that a NFS game has not been present, with most consumers not exactly crying themselves to sleep over this omission. Still, I’d like to see a proper Need For Speed game announced soon. Hopefully, 2015 will herald that Need For Speed: Underground reboot that fans have been clamouring for.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
