This F1 simulator will cost ya

I’ve seen some pretty impressive gaming rig simulators. From full on cockpits for Wing Commander through to mounted motorcycles for some MotoGP. Those rigs are expensive though. Which is why I advise covering your monitor in plastic before sitting down to drink some tea, to find out how much this rig will cost you.

Currently being sold by Costco UK according to Autoblog via Joystiq, the FMCG International F1 racing simulator will set you back a cool £89,999.89. That’s around $138,000 in Washington cash, or R1.28 million. And 68 cents.

Still, at least you won’t have to further break your bank when it comes to buying a real F1 car, which costs in the region of millions just to shave one tenth of a second off. So what do you get for your hard-earned Randelas?

For starters, a body kit done up in your favourite colour (Blue! No yellooooooooooow!), that is made from various materials such as that trendy carbon fibre and other rare stuff, actual wheels and chromed exhausts. As for the gaming section, that’s an Intel Core i7 rig that comes equipped with 16 gigs of RAM and a random graphics card and SSD right now. Oh, and a three monitors that measure in at 23 inches wide each. AND a 5.1 audio surround sound system.

It’s expensive as hell, will be outdated within a few years and sweet mother of Pearl, I want one!
