Treyarch developing MW3 for the Wii

I guess we shouldn’t be that surprised but it just feels a little wrong that Treyarch are porting Modern Warfare 3 over to the Wii for Infinity Ward.

They both are part of the Activision stable but over the years we’ve grown to accept that they don’t like each other, or more that Infinity Ward doesn’t like Treyarch, so it’s strange reading that they are working together.

However things have changed quite a bit since Vince Zampella and Jason West left Infinity Ward and if Modern Warfare 3 comes out as a better game than Modern Warfare 2 we may start having to think that Bobby Kotick had a point when he removed them from the company.

This isn’t the first Wii port that Treyarch have been in charge of either so Wii fans shouldn’t worry, there is no reason to doubt that this port won’t be top class.

But really who plays Call of Duty on a Wii anyway?
