Want this Advanced Warfare gear? You’ll need to be awesome online

With a lot of the recent patches improving the online experience drastically, I’m really enjoying the hell out of this year’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. I’m also (surprisingly) not bad at it, and glancing over at our winners medals from the local launch lends a decent amount of reality to that dream. I am not, however, anywhere near as good as what I’d need to be for this kick-ass gear.

Then again, most of you probably aren’t either (which makes me feel just a little bit better). Sledgehammer Games revealed some insanely awesome new gear for multiplayer this weekend, which will be exclusive to the top 100 online competitors globally. You can check out the screenshot below – a bling, medieval take on futuristic warfare.

Call me crazy, but I kind of like it. That could be because if I ever had the chance to equip it, I know I’d be one of the only people on any server at any given time with it. And if I was good enough to actually get a set, you damned well bet I’d want everyone else to know that I’m better than them.

But that’s probably never going to happen, so for now you can join me in fawning over the thing. Unless you think it’s a gold and black mess and that a traditional exo-suit is just perfect for your online killing needs. Who needs to be good at Call of Duty anyway, right?

This is actually pretty clever. I would award free skins too the good players like above and then resell similar ones to those that wants to buy it just so that they can fit in after a few weeks or so.

Somehow I’m picturing a Mexican mafia lord behind that mask with all that bling bling and jewels.

Advanced Quakefare is the most disastrous COD game since the franchise came about. Can’t see how anybody can enjoy this out of date shooter, much less bother about the gear.
Feel sorry for those who paid full price for this budget title. Wonder what was LG’s rating of the game. Can’t be more than a 6 really and that’s being kind.
