World of Warcraft players have been starved of new content for a long time. Blizzard have been working hard on the next big expansion for their massive MMO, with Warlords of Draenor looking like a meaty cut of content. Blizzard have been hush hush on release details, but that’s all going to change at an event next week.
Blizzard will host a public event next week to announce the release date of Warlords of Draenor. We’ve known for a while now that the expansion will release this year, but the exact date will now be locked down. The event will also give us our first look at the title’s opening cinematic, which is probably the only thing that excites me about the whole thing. Blizzard knows how to cook up a pretty cinematic, that’s for sure.
The event will be hosted on Thursday next week, at 9:30 AM PDT. Blizzard will host the event in a rather stunning hotel venue, with attendees eligible to beta keys for the expansion. The event will also be streamed online for those not lucky enough to make it there.
Warlords of Draenor is the fifth content pack for the popular MMO, which will increase the level cap to 100 and offer an instant level 90 boost to players who pre-order. A few new zones will also be introduced. Whether it’s enough to put a plug in World of Warcraft’s leaking subscriptions is yet to be seen.
