You think your Wednesday is hard? Imagine trying to scavenge for your food and supplies so that you can survive? Now that would make it a real hump day. Okay, maybe not and I hate that expression, but at least you can put your survival in perspective thanks to a browser version of DayZ.
Mini DayZ can be played in your browser and offers a 2d top-down single player version of DayZ.
MINIDAYZ is a 2d top-down singleplayer game, where you must fight for survival in a harsh post-apocalyptic landscape. Search for the food and supplies needed to stay alive, keep clear of the ever-lurking zombies, and always be vigilant of the other desperate survivors. This is your story, this is MINIDAYZ.
In order to play, you’ll need to make a Bohemia Interactive account, and then redeem your free version of the browser game. It all seemed a bit of a pain to me, but I suppose that is just to see if you really have what it takes to survive in a post-apocalyptic landscape, right?
Once you get into the game, it’s rather tricky. I found myself killed pretty quickly, mostly because I had no idea what I was doing and spent most of the time wandering in a wilderness until I found a small town. At least you can choose if you want an easier or more difficult setting.
Still, for those of you who like some scavenging and survival ala DayZ but without the multiplayer or social element, this could be a really fun way of killing a few hours during work. With achievements to earn and varied experiences every time, this is certainly an entertaining time sink.

This is what I play when I am not busy coding my ZA ARMA3 Epoch server. 🙂
Also if you own ARMA 3 I would suggest you download Epoch and join us on Red Faction ZA for some funs.
Yes I just blatantly plugged my own server. 😛
