Xbox 360 division does the shuffle

So Shane Kim has been sideways promoted from head of Microsoft Games Studios to a newly created position entitled VP of Strategy and Business Development for Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment business…

At the same time the global marketing guru, Jeff Bell, is also leaving which hopefully means the new guy/girl will put some more attention into the Southern Hemisphere… we can dream right.

The new head of MGS will be Phil Spencer who is currently the head of MGS Europe.

So why is this news? Well hopefully this means that we will see a new strategy coming out of MGS, one that will expand their offerings to a larger worldwide audience instead of constantly just creating death and destruction games..

Don’t get me wrong, I personally love death and destruction games but a few more Viva Pinata’s, LBP’s or Soul Bubbles would be nice in my gaming catalogue..
