DoubleBear, a company that is formed up of previous members of Obsidian as well as Troika games are releasing a new RPG, and it has caught my eye.
Named Dead State, the game takes place in Texas at the beginning of a Zombie apocalypse and heck, I don’t know if it’s because the screenshots give me memories of the good ol’ days with PC RPG’s like this, but it looks like it could be pretty darn awesome.
The game is set to release on PC sometime after 2010.
More information can be found at DoubleBear’s website and be sure to check out the full interview with Rock, Paper, Shotgun linked below.

But.. But… Fallout 2 was turn based and that was awesome!

Don’t get me wrong, turn based games had their moment in the sun. Now I personally feel they are dated and unnecessary.

Turn based is EXACTLY what it needs to be. X-Com meets Jagged Alliance meets Left4Dead! WHOOOOT!
