COD Extinction (1)

If there’s one thing that you can rely on in a Call of Duty game, it;s zombies. That’s if Treyarch is developing the game that is. This year, Infinity Ward steps up to the plate for Call of Duty: Ghosts, and it looks like they’re bringing an alien infestation with them as well.

Ghosts will ship on two discs for the Xbox 360, and will feature a new mode called Extinction according to CharlieIntel.com. It looks like aliens will be the main enemy in this mode and that this mode can be unlocked after the first five stages of the single-player campaign have been beaten.

Here’s a whole lotta screenshots that you can embiggen to see more, courtesy of AGB:

Looks like Infinity Ward is finally getting their own zombie mode then. That’s something that has always been a Treyarch feature, and I’m curious to see how dudebros react to what appears to be crawling enemies who want to make sweet, violent love to your face.

In addition to that, the names of all 14 multiplayer maps have also been revealed. They are:

  • Prison Break
  • Octane
  • Tremor
  • Freight
  • Whiteout
  • Stromfront
  • Siege
  • Warhawk
  • Sovereign
  • Stonehaven
  • Overload
  • Chasm
  • Flooded
  • Strikezone

Radical. Ghosts is out next week November 5, and for the life of me I have no idea why no one at Activision marketing has decided to throw in some Guy Fawkes merchandising for this game yet.

        Too serious, plot was very weak… Could sum up in 5 min.. Switching between times was not done well, action scenes the same over the top then flat to end so kak… wow he joins the daily planet.. so ORIGINAL… Good acting I will say that, but boring ass movie..

          I liked the more serious tone overall, that’s what’s separating the DC movies from the Marvel movies.

          As for joining the Daily Planet, that’s straight from the lore. It’s one of those things where he’s damned if he doesn’t. People already threw a shit fit about what happened to Zod.

            I agree. Marvel does tend to give their movies quite the adolescent feel, excluding Cap Am and Thor.
            I loved how “realistic” they tried to make Batman, until the ridiculous TDKR of course.

            You have serious, and TOO SERIOUS…Crappy plot + too serious = crap

            Good plot + serious = okay movie Good plot + right amount of serious = Great movie!

      Compare to Returns , it’s a far superior movie, but understandable. It was too hyped up for me

          Man of Steel went for the Super Hero trend , needs to be fast and edgy with the story taking a back seat really. I for one, am tired on these super hero movies that in all honesty aren’t that good. I like the Batman approach. Great story telling and also has a great action. These paper thin super hero movies just don’t cut it anymore. Seriously, Cptn America sucked, Thor Sucked, Hulk (Norton) was freaking great and then we had a weak ass hulk in Avengers. Spider man was ok-ish. But movies in general these days are all flash no flesh.

            Thor was good! Avengers was also good.. Iron man 3 sucked though! Too little action! Amazing Spider man I enjoyed..

            Oh man, Thor was horrible..Loki was the best thing to come out of Thor. and Avengers was great yeah, the action was intense and cool.Other than that…well I guess that’s all that’s needed these days, great action.

            Yes, yes and yes.

            Iron Man 2 was already on its way down though.
            I loved Captain America though, that was at least a bit of a different story.

            Agree… Iron Man 3 sucked so much it made me upset. 1 & 2 was so so good and yet they went and nose dived the trilogy.

            Not a fan of marvel characters in general, they have nothing on DC characters, but the Marvel universe has far more interesting stories.

            Captain America was ok, I tought it was amazing that it was as good as it was, considering how boring of a character Captain America is.
            The first movie and the Avengers made him look week and feeble. the teaser for Winter Soldier already has him looking more impressive.

            Thor was cool, but weak overall, i didnt feel like i wasted my time with it.
            preferred the Avengers hulk, didnt think they did any of the hulk movies right.

            Spiderman was the only one i felt was a waste of my time
            I liked the action sequences, a few of the elements like bringing Gwen back in and having him make his own web, and thought he was a better spiderman than the previous movies.
            but it was so…. meh.

          one of the biggest reservations that superman fans had about the movie when it was announced, was that theyv had it up to their ears with the superman back story, and in general, everyone knows who superman is, and frankly, hes a boring character.

          this movie was a cinematic piece aimed at the Batman vs Superman movie coming up next.
          they needed something to establish Superman, and i for one thought they succeeded, was a cinematic masterpiece.

          any comedy would just have ruined it, even what little there was, felt forced and cheesy.

      Man of Steel was very good. Everything about the movie was sooooo much better than the previous movies. This movie was done right. I wasnt too happy with the enemy much but his part of the Supermans villians so guess to start it off with him was right. There were certain parts of the movie that felt kind of rushed but that didnt deter me from the overall movie. I thought it was really great and im not a superman fan. Oh one more thing. The flash backs to his past wasnt done too well, but still it was a good movie. I never watch movies with high expectations for the fact a person will always end up disappointed.

          then how did you not like this? theyr basically the same thing.
          Krypton = planet Vegeta
          Superman = Goku
          Zodd = Vegeta
          City during a fight = Destroyed

          its the DBZ movie we always wanted, except Goku is wearing blue latex instead of his Orange jumpsuit

      Don’t ever say that again. CoD was designed to funnel a whole lot of hate away from the chat screens of legit games. If CoD goes extinct then every other game will get consumed by the hate that would have been contained.

        An outlet for hate…well if you put it that way, that is a valid point.But what if….what if…CoD is the source of HATE itself….so by taking CoD away….hate will fade away and the world will be peaceful once more
