I have only seen 2 episodes, but there is a lot of potential there. He is starting to build a ‘universe’, so as long as the executives and fans are patient, I believe we are in for an incredible journey. Too early to really call, but hey, I don’t believe the will can this like Firefly because they still need him for Avengers 😛

Joss Whedon is God’s gift to geeks. You cannot overate him. As far as Agents of Shield goes, I’m loving it. My fiance told me the other day it is her new favourite series. A definite hit in my opinion.

You can’t overrate him? I guess we watched different versions of Dollhouse…

I liked it. Slow yes and a bit emo but still good.

I also liked Dollhouse. Wasn’t my greatest series, but I liked it. My sisters went crazy about it though. Just because he doesn’t an excellent job in a different genre doesn’t mean he isn’t still extraordinary.

I have seen the first two as well and it wasn’t really that spectacular to be honest. Too early to tell – I’d agree with Lardus. My only beef with the show is that Chinese agent May, who is grating my nipples with that too familiar “tough-as-nails-and-no-I-won’t-smile” chick persona which is so cliched. I find her very irritating at times. Just my two cents…Oh and Josh Whedon is awesome!

I find the 2 scientists mildly annoying. Their chatter gets a bit much.

First episode was pretty good and showed some excellent potential.

Second episode was utterly horrendous and as cheese as the likes of Xena and/or Hercules.

I was cringing as I watched, wondering how the hell Marvel could have signed off on this crap.

    So far…not so good.

Funnily enough I enjoyed the 2nd episode way more than the 1st. 1st just seemed too rushed, like they were trying to tell a full story & introduce the whole team in a single short episode.

I’m enjoying it so far, maybe because I wasn’t expecting movie-level TV.

I wasn’t that impressed after the 1st episode, but enjoyed the 2nd episode far more. The characters were much more appealing the 2nd time around for me – Skye & Ward? just seemed like more normal people with different opinions than the cardboard stereotypes they seemed in the pilot. So I’m quite keen to see the 3rd & hope it keeps developing.

I saw some of it in passing – looks cheesy. But if it manages to match Arrow, I’d give it a go.

I think it’s building slowly, or at least I hope so. Arrow was also not the greatest it’s first few episodes, but really developed nicely. Season 2 starts this week!

Arrow had me early on, thanks to its singular story focus. This feels like a teenage ensemble drama with some action and tight costumes thrown in.

Arrow lost me early because it felt like a slow chick series like Revenge. Even my fiance said it was too girly for her, and Revenge is her guilty pleasure. I’ve been meaning to give it another shot though as I’ve heard it gets better.

The first episode was disappointing and the writing was weak. i think the 2nd episode was much more solid in that they got rid of some of the lame jokes, even though the 2 scientists were annoying.

The series still has a lot of potential, but if the characters’ scripted lines don’t improve, no amount of Marvel magic will save this from cancellation.

First episode was interesting. Second episode was horrendous. I’m going to watch the third one tonight probably but ja, I’m not holding out much hope.

Okay, finally got to watch the first two episodes. I find the show way below the standard that Whedon delivers. In particular the characters, which are very poorly developed and written. It’s not as bad as Revolution, but comes close.

I quite enjoyed the first episode although I’m probably quite biased when it comes to all things Marvel. In saying that, I did think the first and second episodes were ‘ok’. Finally watched the 3rd one and it seems to be picking up quite a bit now which is great. Enjoying all the little hints to the Marvel Universe but after this 3rd episode I think even unbiased fans will start to like it.
