It's official! The Bat is back! Both of them!

If there's one thing that Batman is known for, it's planning for any contingency. And a new rumour claims that Warner Bros is taking the same approach with a very unexpected Batman casting backup plan.

Following on from yesterday's awesome news that Michael Keaton may be returning as Batman, some additional details have been revealed on just how this could happen.

Holy bombshell, Batman! Reports are coming in that Michael Keaton, star of the classic Tim Burton-directed Batman films, is in talks to reprise his iconic role in multiple films starting with Ezra Miller's The Flash in 2022.

As expected the first trailer for Sony's Morbius film, giving us our first proper look at Jared Leto's vampiric comic book antihero, dropped last night. What was not expected was the trailer's very exciting links to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

The Prop Store of London will be having another one of its regular sales, and one of the items up for grabs may just be the biggest bat-grail since the mold for the bat-nipples from Batman Forever went under the hammer. What is the item in question? None other than the original batsuit, worn by Michael Keaton on the big screen in the 1989 Batman movie.

Dressing Michael Keaton up in a leotard and giving him circus trunks to wear on the outside would have ruined the illusion of the dark and Gothic world that Tim Burton was looking to create in his Batman film, forcing the director and his crew to come up with a more imaginative take on the idea of the caped crusader that didn’t just look good on camera, but also made sense within the context of that world.

Much like Superman had done back in 1978, 1989's Batman knew that it needed to cast a big name to give the project an air of legitimacy. Plenty of names may have been thrown into a casting hat, but from day one there was only one actor considered for the role: Jack Nicholson.
