Ubisoft have released a new trailer showing the Wii-U features of the upcoming Splinter Cell Blacklist

Defending democracy, taking down enemy soldiers with extreme prejudice and stopping terrorists by any means necessary in Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Unless it includes torture. That's a no-no in that game.

For a game that is all about being stealth and guile, Splinter Cell Blacklist sure has a rather loud special edition.

Looking forward to playing the new Splinter Cell later this year? Well you might have to wait a while longer to slip those familiar goggles back on.

With Ubisoft getting a tad too hopeful as it aims to push Assassin’s Creed into theatres sometime next year, the game developer and publisher is already looking to get a second project off the ground, based on a popular Tom Clancy creation. Big budget video games, a staple of the industry today. Or better yet, a gimmick that might finally be on its way out.

Ubisoft knows that quite a few fans are worried about the direction that Splinter Cell: Blacklist is taking the franchise into, but they're confident that the final result will be less explosions, more stealth and action orientated. And less kneejerk reactions.

Spinter Cell Conviction may have sold well, but it wasn't exactly perfect. Those flaws are soemthing that the development team behind Blacklist, are looking to avoid.
