Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart, Solitaire inducted into the Video Game Hall of Fame
Mortal Kombat was inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame at The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York yesterday. Released in 1992, Mortal Kombat and its hyper violent, realistic content caused controversy. It led to court cases, conversations around the impact of violent video games on children and led to the creation of the Entertainment Software Rating Board to assign age-ratings to games.
