Riddick Remake Replaced With Riddick Sequel

By Nick De Bruyne
December 4, 2008
in :  Gaming

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay was hands down, in my opinion, the best licensed game title to ever grace a gaming system. Not only did it shine above other licensed titles but actually held its head up high with other triple A titles. I was really bummed to hear that the remake that was being made for …

While Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was an undeniably pretty game, the teaser trailer that was released just a few days ago has been causing quite a lot of buzz on forums and gaming sites with regards to whether or not the graphics were pre-rendered or real time. Another Prince of Persia video has been released, this time showing a montage of the gameplay elements that we can all expect from the new refreshed title. I think that the game is looking really fun and to be honest, it really needs to be because a lot of gamers have already exhausted a lot of their resources on buying the plethora of games that were released in the recent weeks. I think that Prince of Persia will have a lot of appeal with regards to new and casual gamers and from the looks of things, is set to be quite an enjoyable experience. Prince of Persia hits local shelves this Friday.

Along with Damnation and Resistance 2, Prince of Persia will be one of the titles releasing next Friday (5 December). The end of next week pretty much brings the awe-inspiring game release season of 2008 to a close. While their may be a few titles still releasing here and there, all of the most watched titles will be on the shelves. Many have had their eye on the new Prince of Persia title, with it's cell-shaded yet detailed look as well as some really interesting combat mechanics. The official trailer has been put up on Gametrailers.com and judging by what I have seen it looks like it is going to be quite a ride.

Sonic Unleashed 'Launch' trailer How about a round of applause for another mediocre Sonic game? No? I didn’t think so. You’Â’ll have to excuse me but I lost all faith in there being another decent Sonic game years ago. Id prefer they just put their effort into updating the original game with new funky graphics and put them all out …
