Riddick Remake Replaced With Riddick Sequel

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay was hands down, in my opinion, the best licensed game title to ever grace a gaming system. Not only did it shine above other licensed titles but actually held its head up high with other triple A titles.

I was really bummed to hear that the remake that was being made for the Xbox 360 had been cancelled but it looks as though the bad news was just some really, really great news in disguise.

Riddick: Dark Athena is not going to be a remake of the original game, it is going to be a sequel and to make everything even better, a remastered version of the first game is going to be added as extra content.

No release date has been announced but I am excited about this title and absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on it.
