Super Stardust Portable Coming December 4

Super Stardust  Portable releases on the PSP on December 4th, which is awesome news. I loved Super Star Dust  HD and it would make an awesome portable game. The main question I have though is how do you port a dual stick shooter onto a portable with only one rather tiny and rather flat analogue stick? Also how on earth …

Honestly I had never heard of this show before until Unsafestcorpse pointed it out to me on the Xbox Live marketplace last night. If you want to check out more of the episodes shoot over too their Youtube page. I myself don’t find it that funny after watching a couple of them, they have their moments though. [ It’s quite …

Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (*Breathe*) Available on XBLA

SF2THDR... That's quite a combination of letters and numbers. The good news is that the new HD version of the classic Street Fighter 2 Turbo finally became available yesterday on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN. I posted up a video of the gameplay for anyone interested who wants to check out the new look but it is easy to see that it is still exactly the same game as it was before. Is that a bad thing? I really don't think so and the fact that they went through all of the effort to convert every frame and background into glorious HD is awesome to say the least. I wanted to download the demo but when I saw that the game clocked in at around 370MB I decided to take a raincheck (It's "end of the month salty crack snack" for my cap).

"PS3-Mote" Seen in Action – Is this the future for Sony?

By Nick De Bruyne

After a whole bunch of rumours flew around the net earlier this year regarding a PS3 motion controller, nothing was ever shown or seen of the remote and what it was capable. But now we have something special to show you. A company by the name of "Sixense" has put on a presentation showing the capabilities of the remote that they have been working on and the results are astounding to say the least. This new technology far outperforms that of the Nintendo Wii in terms of accuracy and usability and some of the demo's that the developer showed off really opened my eyes to exactly what can be done with a remote like this as well as how easy it could actually be to make a fully immersive experience with something like that of a third person shooter. Don't believe me? Check out this video and especially take note of how the developer makes use of cover in a mock-up paintball game around the 2 minute mark and tell me that integrating something like that into a hardcore shooter wouldn't make it a ton of fun. More information as well as the full videos, after the jump. Due to the controller being so accurate and being able to allow body movement (unlike an accelerometer-based controller that always has a centre point), the developer is able to properly take cover behind a wall by crouching and then stick out the side to shoot at his targets. Although I am not entirely sure if Sony even has any official involvement in this project, they had better jump on this fast because I am sure that Microsoft sees the same potential that I do and we all know that they are very quick to throw money at something that they want. I didn't really think that a more accurate motion controller would ever get me excited but after seeing this and realising the potential, I can't wait to see what gets done with it. Am I insane for thinking that this is really cool or do a lot of you out there agree with me? Let us know in the comments.

Sonic Unleashed Trailer

Sonic Unleashed 'Launch' trailer How about a round of applause for another mediocre Sonic game? No? I didn’t think so. You’Â’ll have to excuse me but I lost all faith in there being another decent Sonic game years ago. Id prefer they just put their effort into updating the original game with new funky graphics and put them all out …

Cooking Mama pwns your Mama

Cooking Mama World Kitchen 'Infomercial' TV ad Tired of the same old meals day after day? Soggy vegetables, chicken pie, and peanut butter sandwiches are a thing of the past. Well according to this Cooking Mama ad anyway. I love the style of this ad, it seems more like an infomercial for another “Mama” than it does an ad for …

Parody: Silence CliffyB

By Nick De Bruyne

This rather funny music video was created because, as most of you know, CliffyB (Cliff Bleszkinski, whatever) really likes giving his opinion on things and at the same time, the media really likes reporting about them. Well it seems like these guys have had quite enough of Cliff's ramblings and have decided to write a song about it. It's pretty funny stuff and it does make one wonder why in the hell we do see so many articles about CliffyB's opinions. Yes he made a great game but as the song says, that doesn't make him a guru.

Fiddy's New Game Might Not Suck

By Nick De Bruyne

So just like the real 50 cent, the franchise can't be killed and is back for more. I never had the chance to play the first "Fiddy" game but I heard that it was a pile of crap. The real scary news is that we have heard that this new title is actually looking pretty good. The gameplay seems to steal elements from Gears of War, Bourne Identity and a couple others ant to be honest, I would rather that they leech off of some other concepts than just release more horse dung out into the world. I can see some potential from the trailer but at the same time a lot of us know that if the cover system and the gunplay aren't finely tuned then it can spoil the whole game. I'm not going to be expecting too much from the story to be honest but if the rest of it is fun then it might not really matter.
