Akward Kombat. Shao Kahn is getting his groove on.

I don't really know where to start with this video. A couple of guys have put together a short video showing what would happen if Shao Kahn started feeling a little kinky instead of being his usual old realm conquering self. Technically speaking, it's done incredibly well, to the point that I nearly didn't realise that I wasn't actually watching actual game footage at first. It's quite a laugh and gets quite strange.

At the moment Sony are having problems with the Beta and the servers crashing but that hasn’t stopped this video from being leaked. It a ten minute long video that shows the majority of the customisation options open to the player as well as a couple gunfights which gives a fairly comprehensive view of what you will be getting when …

Nothing that 360 owners wouldn’t have seen before but it does help build the anticipation. It really is a game that everybody has to play at least once. Now, would you kindly watch the trailer. (See what I did there) source: Kotaku Last Updated: September 9, 2008

Ex-GameStop employee tells it how it is

By Nick De Bruyne

Ever heard of Gamestop? If you haven't, it's a large chain of gaming stores in the U.S that make our little shops look pretty silly. They have amazing libraries of games for all the current consoles and a whole bunch of other shiny stuff too. It's all very pretty to look at, but what about the skullduggery that goes on behind the scenes. Well, an ex-Gamestop employee only known as "WhistleBlowerZero" has had enough with the stores and has decided to put up a series of video on YouTube telling the truth about all of the terrible things that the store does and how we people should rather shop elsewhere. To make things even more strange/interesting, he has done all of it in the same style as Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation reviews. While he doesn't pull it off quite as well as the crazy Brit living in Australia, not to mention the fact that I can't understand half the things he is actually saying, they are both semi-entertaining and informative to say the least. It is getting seriously intriguing to see how the internet is empowering the "little guy" to stand up to the larger companies these days. This was just one disgruntled employee making a stupid video and I tell you, GameStop can't be very happy about it. I can't wait to see the absolute BS that they release when they have finished getting some amazing marketing suit to write their official statement.

MotorStorm Pacific Rift

MotorStorm was arguably the best PS3 launch title… okay Resistance most probably takes that crown but if you didn’t like FPS games then this was the one to have. Well the sequel is now coming out (7th October) and it is looking fine. I wonder what would happen if I strap a booster onto my bike and take it down …

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway – Developer Video

By Nick De Bruyne

It seemed pretty clear to me from the word go that Brothers in Arms is not quite the same as games like Call of Duty and Medal of Honour. It definitely takes a pretty different approach, especially with regards to the command system so I don't know if I should think of it as the same type of game. When not looked at as a contender to COD, I think that this game is shaping up quite well. I never really got into the previous BIA game but this could hold my attention a lot more. The new gore system in this game is pretty crazy, but at the same time its something that I feel necessary and to be quite honest it's about time that we see something like this. If you haven't yet watched the video or can't at work, let me explain. When soldiers are hit with explosives the gore system will try and simulate any dismemberment or damage caused by the blast (and will usually slow down to show the gory details in slow motion). "Brother without Arms" maybe? While I think that the slow motion camera is pretty unnecessary and hopefully optional, I find that it is more engrossing to see effects like this because it captures the severity and realism of explosive weapons in a realistic light. The video also goes on to talk about the use of tactics as well as what they have done to engross the player in the experience. Check it out, it may just be your cup of tea.

Skate It – Balance Board Demo

By Nick De Bruyne

This video marks the first time that we see how the Nintendo Balance board is going to work in the Nintendo Wii version of the newly popular Skate franchise. Although they discuss how the balance board works they have actually done very little to explain how all the tricks are actually going to work. They explain that by leaning back on the board you will ollie and by leaning on the front you would perform a nollie. I somehow doubt that a 360 flip will require you to do something similar to an advanced level of Dance Dance Revolution. My guess is that the ollie will be performed with the board and then the trick itself will be performed by flicking the wiimote. Either way this could prove to be a lot of fun and the balance board will add an interesting element to you balance in grinds and manuals. I hope they don't mess this up because I actually think that they may be onto something here.

Hidden Missing COD4 training sequence

By Gavin Mannion
September 8, 2008

I always thought the run from killing the watermelons to the obstacle course in COD4 was a little long and pointless, well I have found out why. The game shipped without two extra training sequences that filled this gap. The above video was taken by a PC gamer who apparently found it somehow. No I don’t think we really missed …
