Midnight Club Los Angeles – Garage Video

By Nick De Bruyne

The people from Megarom have supplied us with a brand new trailer of Midnight Club Los Angeles. This trailer shows off a bit of the features that will involve car customisations and such. I haven't played a Midnight Club since the second one and I paid no attention to the DUB edition either. This one on the other hand is a different story, it's looking pretty interesting at the moment and the Grand Theft Auto 4 engine is doing a really good job from what I have seen so far although it does make the game look fairly similar in its visual style. Then again, that may not be a bad thing at all.

Fragile Trailer – Nintendo Wii

If you own a Wii and like Japanese RPG's then you may want to take a look at this. I personally didn't know a whole lot about "Flagire" but after watching this trailer my interest has risen significantly. The art style is gorgeous and it looks like the wiimote is going to be utilised very well, especially with tools like the torch. What is it about JRPG's that make me want to love them so much. I have never played through many of them but when I see trailers like this it makes me think that I am missing out on something really special. We will bring you more details about Fragile as soon as they are available.

New Battlefield Heroes Trailer looking fun, if not a bit strange

By Nick De Bruyne

The fact that this game is looking so great and is going to be completely free is still blowing my mind. Sure they will have their ways of making money but you don't need to have any part of that if you don't want to. I amy be wrong, but I think that this trailer serves to show off what can be done with custom character building in the game, which, if true, will probably involve spending money. Regardless of how strange some of it looks, it still looks like nothing but pure unadulterated fun on the PC. The game will be available for PC later this year and should be quite a blast. Hopefully if the game is successful we could see it moving over to consoles later on. How many of you readers are going to be downloading it? Leave a comment and let us know.

Brett posted yesterday about the upcoming Death Tank, or scorched Earth to us older folk. Well it got me intrigued so I went on a mission to find out more about it and stumbled across this video. I can’t decide if I am excited about this game or worried that it’s going to be a complete failure. I devoted many …

Far Cry 2 Developer Video – Immersion

By Nick De Bruyne

Many developers will go out of their way to try and pull gamers into their worlds. From artwork, graphics, sound and animation there are tons of different ways to make the player feel like he is actually running around in the virtual world that is laid out in front of him. This video of Far Cry 2 explains a few of the ways that the developers have tried to do all they can to keep you feeling completely immersed in the experience. I have played a few games over time that specifically kept you in the players head, even when cutscenes or animations are taking place and it really makes a difference. The latest of which is Condemned 2, by keeping the player inside the head of the character almost 100% of the time you really feel a certain physicality in the world, which helps that much more when something scary happens because it makes you really want to run for your sorry life. No need to mention how good this game is looking, it is quite apparent.

Too Human – Where it all began

By Nick De Bruyne

So we are constantly hearing about how Too Human was apparently being developed for nearly ten years but we have never actually had the opportunity to see what the game looked like in its early years. Well, I have hunted down two videos of Too Human running on a Playstation 1, thats right folks, the PS1 for your viewing pleasure. The video above is gameplay footage from the game while the one after the jump is an early FMV sequence that was going to be used. The funny thing is that our current-gen games look to have actually overtaken the CG sequences that were being used originally. It is also quite clear from the video that the core gameplay changed significantly over the time it took the game to be developed. Check out the second video after the jump.

[Video Goes Here] Check out this video that made its way onto the net from PAX '08. We have some footage of Resistance 2, although it is filmed with a little handheld camera and actually doesn't have any audio. The graphics are looking great and I really like the multiplayer ideas that this game is going to have. With release dates creeping closer for all these major title, expect more and more goodies to head this way soon.

Resistance 2 – Shipping Out Trailer

By Gavin Mannion

Resistance 2’s marketing reminds me a lot of Halo, not the actual marketing but the way that the story is being marketed more than the game itself. Not that this is a bad thing as it obviously worked for Halo and Resistance is more than capable of holding that badge on the PS3… Not to mention that I would prefer …
