By Nick De Bruyne

MirrorsEdge1.jpg Mirror's Edge, the interesting and strange take on first person games is set to hit shelves on November 11. With the crazy season of games releases coming our way, most of us are going to be holding back our cash for all the games that we really want. Good news is, that according to digitalgames.fr, the Mirror's Edge demo will be hitting XBL as well as PSN today and is reported to be enough of an experience for interested gamers to get a feel for the controls and the gameplay. This game has caught my attention but at the same time I fall into the category of gamers who just isn't sure whether or not it's going to be worth my money, so the demo will post probably make or break it for me. I really hope that they have put their best foot forward on this one.

Xbox 360 Live Your Moment… Your what?

By Gavin Mannion

It seems that Microsoft didn’t want to be left behind in the stupid advertising race and has now released one of their own. Apparently this is the first in a long line, of hopefully better, adverts aimed specifically at the European market. We think they are advertising Rock Band and the Xbox 360 here but in all honesty they could …

So the Xbox 360 price cuts are just starting to take effect and I am expecting big announcements from Sony (Home) and Nintendo (something.. there has to be something) just around the corner. The silly season is racing up on us, anyone else spotted Christmas decorations yet? So lets take a look at where we stand right now. The Wii …

LA Noire coming to the 360?

By Gavin Mannion
September 22, 2008
in :  Gaming
1

LA Noire is possibly the biggest budget gaming title in production at the moment and over and above that it was meant to be a PS3 exclusive title. However it looks like the PS3 is losing another exclusive here. I reported back in January that Team Bondi were interviewing for a 360 developer and now the news is coming out …

Bethesda has just released the official Fallout 3 website, aptly named Prepare for the Future. Here you will find some new footage from the game all of which is hidden behind a very cool looking “Radiation King” TV. You will also be able to take part in some interactive activities such as shooting folks with Fat Man and playing around …

EndWar – Voice Command Brief

By Nick De Bruyne

Tom Clancy's EndWar is the first game that is offering the ability to control your armies with the use of voice command. While I have been let down in the past with voice command features, EndWar looks like it's actually going to pull it off. This video gives us a good idea of how the voice command system works and how the interface functions. The idea of controlling armies that have Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six squads in them is already enough to get me to sit up and pay attention but add a flawless voice command system and we may have the future of console RTS gaming staring us right in the face. "Alpha Unit, make me coffee!"

New Prince of Persia Release Date Confirmed

By Nick De Bruyne

The new Prince of Persia has been gathering a lot of interest since it's announcement. While fans of the series will obviously be excited for it's release, newcomers are even finding it easy to cast an eyeball at the screenshots and news stories that we have been seeing of late. The reason for this is that the game is looking incredibly pretty now that the developers have opted for a visually intriguing cell-shaded style. The good news is that today Ubisoft confirmed that Prince of Persia will be on shelves and available for purchase on the 5th of December for the PS3, Xbox 360 and believe it or not, the Nintendo DS. Just in time for all the Christmas grannies to pick it up for their grandchildren. It's not only about the graphics though, the new title will also be featuring a new combat system and an open-world layout. Looking good Prince... looking good.

Mirror's Edge Demo Delayed

By Nick De Bruyne
September 19, 2008
in :  Gaming

Some confusion on the internet has led to many gaming news websites announcing that the Mirror's Edge demo would become available on September 26. Unfortunately, anyone who was looking forward to some daredevil rooftop shenanigans will have to wait a little longer because EA has confirmed that the demo will in fact, not be available on said date, saying: "The demo will be out prior to launch (no official date yet) and the pre-order begins Sept 26". So while pre-orders will start on the 26th, no official date for the demo's availability has been set. Be sure that when a date is announced we will have the story.
