It seems that Microsoft didn’t want to be left behind in the stupid advertising race and has now released one of their own.
Apparently this is the first in a long line, of hopefully better, adverts aimed specifically at the European market.
We think they are advertising Rock Band and the Xbox 360 here but in all honesty they could be explaining the head of marketings latest experience with mind altering drugs.
Since when did great games and awesome features stop being enough for Microsoft and Sony?

WOW… um ya… WTF!
I don’t get these console ads.. I really don’t… Maybe the Pommies have funny stuff in their water and this is the only type of thing that makes sense to them…???

Or maybe the humour and tastes of the Americans are too base for our marketing?
Also, us Europeans are not committed to hardcore gaming – the ‘live your moment’ idea is about the experiences of xbox outside of hardcore concepts. We’re all about having a social life and picking up games with friends rather than playing alone until our eyelids drop.
These ads are more emotional and engaging than any tripe than the usual bilge that American ad agencies port over.
