"Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD = Stalemate" – Sony

Now, now, before we start hauling insults and shouting "fanboy" to one another over the title of this article, let me just explain.

It seems like the CEO of Sony, yes no jokes its Howard Stringer, has come out of the woodwork, and reportedly said that the battle between Blu-ray and HD-DVD is a stalemate. Is it me or does this just seem ironic? Here you have a Sony employee, saying that the battle that is currently is tipped in Blu-ray’s favour is a stalemate. Doesn’t this just seem stupid?

Now that Sony has acknowledged it maybe all the "fanboys" will to.

I guess he will resign, get his bonus & 13th cheque and go work for Toshiba. πŸ˜‰

Doobi, I think he meant a dual player.

  • j4nr1k

Yep. That is what I meant. Something that plays HD DVD and Blu Ray. (and DVD) πŸ˜‰

  • doobiwan

Fair enough, but aren’t the dual players still around $1000?

  • J4NR1K

    Correct, hence my first post..”cheap”
