Best-Mobile-game

Not every great game released this year needed a super expensive console to play it on. Some of the best games around were available on a super-expensive mobile device as well! Quick-burst gaming at a low cost was on the rise in 2014. But our favourite was an obvious winner.

And the winner is…Kingdom Rush Origins!

Yes, it’s the mobile tap-happy tower defence game that we simply cannot get enough of. Easy to learn, challenging to master, Kingdom Rush Origins distills the best bits from the original game and its sequel, with sharper art, animations and maps. The levels now require more imaginative thinking, the foes are far more varied and the challenge is still there, waiting to tear you a new one.

It’s also a game with a ton of charm, with stages hiding numerous Easter eggs and references to films, TV and books. I’d wax lyrical about the game for hours, but right now, I’m too busy playing it to do so.

Honourable mentions

Hitman GO, Monument Valley and Hearthstone: Heroes Of Warcraft, Threes!

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
