Zoe’s played a lot of Battleborn already. As in, a lot. At this year’s E3, I got to try my hand at Gearbox’s first new IP in a while – and it was rather fun. The game channels both Borderlands and Brothers in Arms in its own way, creating a team-based amalgamation of the two that…actually works
Speaking to both Gearbox and 2K at the premiere gaming event, it was clear that a new IP has reinvigorated excitement within both the development house and publishing partner – especially after the short-lived life of the Brothers in Arms spin-off, the Furious Four.
It’s clear as day that Borderlands has had a massive influence on the visual design and writing in Battleborn – with a consistently humorous narrator ensuring you know what to do and when, while simultaneously reminding you that you’re probably going to die. Brother in Arms comes into play with the game’s co-operative tactics, although it was difficult to see the depth of this over a single game.
Still, Battleborn was entertaining enough for me to take more notice than I have in the past, and I’m especially excited by the diverse, growing roster of characters. Each of them carve out their own unique back story and design, not fitting into staple multiplayer tropes that so many games far too easily rest on. There’s still 15 left to reveal until launch later this year, so keep your eyes peeled on Gearbox’s latest endeavour.

I want to be mean, but I think yesterday’s comment might have been enough.

Is it actually like a SP game? Or only MP?

There is some SP but it’s a MP focused game. Well it has to be with the term Moba being tossed around like JJs weights

Need to know the answer of that question my self, don’t know how this is a new IP, seems like Borderlands but with a different paint coat, or is that just me? Still epic none the less.

You mean Miko the combat botanist. Out of the 10 characters released so far, he looks pretty awesome.
Can’t wait to see the remaining 15????
