Sylvester Stallone is still busy on his crusade to put the “men” back into entertainment, and the next stop on his world tour of manly action will see him team up with veteran director Walter Hill for his first film in a decade to take on none other than Khal Drogo himself, Jason Momoa. With fireman’s axes.
We’ve seen a couple of trailers for the film already and now we’ve got a batch of new images that give us a glimpse of said axe fight, as well showing that Momoa can glower with the the best of them and Stallone apparently has something against reflections.
Based on a graphic novel, “Bullet to the Head” tells the story of a New Orleans hitman (Stallone) and a DC cop (Kang) who form an alliance to bring down the killers of their respective partners.
If that synopsis up top seems sparse, that’s because the story apparently is. However, the film debuted at the Rome Film Festival last week and early word is that this is just a fun throwback to the 80’s R-Rated action film where the film was light on the plot, heavy on the action and one-liners. Hill apparently directs like the last 3 decades never even happened, and for fans of that time period this will be a non-stop thrill ride.
