The Muppets respond to FOX News' accusations that they are turning kids away from capitalism

54 second read

The latest Muppets movie is considered by most to be pretty great all-around family fun. Well, except if you’re FOX News, that is. The ultra-conservative American news network recently did an in-depth expose on how the film was being used as a vehicle to influence the highly susceptible youth of America to adopt anti-capitalistic views. Yes, a “so called” respectable news agency accused a puppet frog and pig of being communists. I dare you to make it through this video without face-palming.

In response, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy has this to say yesterday during a press conference:

As funny as the Muppets’ response is, I cannot believe that this news story actually exists. Fox News has never exactly been a paragon of journalistic excellence, but this is just plain ridiculous now. What’s next? Occupy Sesame Street?!
