According to popular gaming site Gamespot, Google’s gaming strategy is unclear as nothing has been formally announced as to how they plan to tackle their entry into the world of gaming.
From the above info it may seem like they are pushing towards the social market, but anything can happen and it never hurts to have more competition. Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Google… it has a ring to it!
