 Nintendo Doowhatey?

So Nintendo has announced a doohickey that you can attach to the bottom of your Wiimote that will enhance it’s accuracy.

Can someone please explain to me how on earth that is going to work? Are they adding on more sensors or is it just another chip that can process the sensor information better?

Is this an admission that the current remotes don’t work properly and will all future remotes come out with this already embedded?

This must be the weirdest announcement of E3 to date, but fear not we are going to go bash on Nintendo’s door to give us one to test. IF it actually makes the Wiimote a usable option in FPS games this could be revolutionary.

I read a bit about it this morning. The doohickey is basically a multi-axis gyroscope that then works with the current sensors etc. and enhances the accuracy and determine “true 1:1 motion”.

It also “enhances” how quickly your battery dies…

so it fix a problem. And call it an enhancement
