We reported recently that in line with circulating rumours, Sony would forgo the traditional UMD-based release for the sequel to their critically-acclaimed action-rhythm-RTS-adventure Patapon. The game will be, digitally distributed – but will paradoxically still have a retail release.
Sony have now released an image of exactly what you’ll be getting when you purchase your game-devoid box. The box art states that “No disc included. Memory Stick and access to PlayStation Network required.â€
I rather liked the first Patapon – but I also rather like having physical media house my paid-for video games.

If there is a BIG price reduction… Then its a great idea…. But if you paying the same price as a normal game, I would like the physical media.

I’m very happy to see that they made it obvious the box doesn’t contain a disc though, that was one of my biggest worries

I would prefer getting the physical media, rather than
having to pay for it in store and then having to waste
bandwidth and time downloading it as well. :ermm:

The ironic thing is that it’s been available on PSN for download for over a month already. So if you someone was waiting for the physical media it must be a BIG let down.
