Fire some blanks at Olivia Munn in this red-band trailer for THE BABYMAKERS

With movies like Super Troopers and Beerfest, the guys from Broken Lizard have developed quite a following for themselves. (Un)fortunately, I am not included in that number. It’s not that I completely dislike their movies, I just find them mildly entertaining at best.

Their latest effort seems to be continuing their brand of raunchy comedy, however with geek goddess Olivia Munn as one of the titular Babymakers, they may just have found my weakness.

While this – just like the other Broken Lizard productions – doesn’t quite have me busting a gut, it does seem amusing enough. And the sperm bank robbery idea certainly has great raunchy comic potential, so I’m hoping that the scenes in the trailer was not the best bits (as some studios like to do) and that they’re just holding back the biggest gags for the full film. Either way I’ll probably still end up seeing this. Because, Olivia Munn.

The film also stars other geek goddess Aisha Tyler whom you might recognize from the most epic smackdown I’ve have had the pleasure of witnessing in ages.

Synopsis:

After trying everything to get his wife Audrey (Olivia Munn) pregnant, Tommy Macklin (Paul Schneider) realizes to his horror that he may be “shooting blanks.” Terrified that his marriage may fall apart, Tommy recruits his friends and an ex-Indian mobster (played by director Jay Chandrasekhar) to rob a spermbank where he made a deposit years ago. As with any half-baked scheme, everything can and does go wrong, testing the limits of Tommy and Audrey’s relationship and showing how far one couple will go in hopes of getting pregnant.
