Indiana Jones is going to hate this first look inside the ark of NOAH

Making movies, making songs, fighting around the old testament biblical world and kicking ass, Russell Crowe! Surviving in a world filled with evil and lawlessness may be one thing, but when the rain comes down in Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming Noah, you can bet that the ark that he  shoves several National Geographics worth of animals into is going to stink real bad. So what’s it like in there then? Well, simply put, if you’re afraid of limbless reptiles, you’ll soon be asking yourself “Snakes, why’d it have to be snakes?”.

Director of Photography Matthew Libatique posted a photo of an interior shot of the ark, and there’s enough reptiles in that one picture to give a leather shoe store a joygasm. Here’s the pic.

There’s probably going to be a lot more CGI animals when the final product hits post production, but it’s an interesting look at how the menagerie is being handled. It’s dark, gritty and dirty, and I like it that way.
