We'll see who's left standing with the Madame Blossom trailer for The Man with the Iron Fists

Another day, another stylishly provocative trailer that makes me wish I could fast forward the clock to November the 2nd. Following the release of the character trailer for the Bronze Lion yesterday, RZA is back with a (sort of) brand new trailer for Lucy Liu’s character, Madame Blossom.

I have to say that I think my enthusiasm for this film is possibly only equaled by Kervyn’s. While the trailer is mostly the same recycled footage from earlier trailers and teasers, it does give us a small snippet more of Madame Blossom and her deadly feminine wiles and she seems exactly the type of character you would see in a Tarantino-endorsed film. The dialogue seems very reminiscent of Kill Bill, which I love, but it might be a double-edged sword for RZA. I’m hoping he manages to find his own distinct style without having to channel too much from Tarantino’s influence.

However, that said, I don’t think we have to be worried because from what we’ve seen, this film has character and charisma by the bucket loads. Considering Eli Roth is also attached to the project, I think they will both do Master Quentin proud!

Comingsoon has the following as synopsis:

Since his arrival in China’s Jungle Village, the town’s blacksmith (RZA) has been forced by radical tribal factions to create elaborate tools of destruction. When the clans’ brewing war boils over, the stranger channels an ancient energy to transform himself into a human weapon. As he fights alongside iconic heroes and against soulless villains, one man must harness this power to become savior of his adopted people.

Now, enough talk, grasshopper! Watch the trailer!

I’m totally avoiding these. No sense in spoiling my appetite.
