If there’s one thing to look forward to whenever a new Pixar film is released, it’s that delightful short movie that accompanies the feature presentation.
They’re usually more experimental films, with lavish visuals and weird ideas that have a minimum amount of talking, but they’re always magical. One Man Band is my personal favourite, but that might soon be ditched for La Luna, which you can watch right now, for free.
Directed by Enrico Casarosa, the tale of midnight fishing and how to wear a hat originally accompanied Brave earlier this year, but originally popped up at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France, back in 2011.
La Luna was nominated for an Academy Award for best animated short film, but lost to The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore. Kind of a raw deal, don’tcha think?
