X-Men: Days of future past seems to be a reunion film of sorts. Director Bryan Singer, who handled the first two instalments of the popular X-Men franchise and set off a chain reaction in superhero movies, is once again helming. Previous X-Men actors such as Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are also back in the wheelchair and bucket helmet respectively, for this tale that crosses time-streams.

And according to the Wolverine himself, it’s going to get a lot more crowded when worlds collide.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, actor Hugh Jackman who also happens to be unsheathing his claws once again for this film, said that the First Class sequel was going to be biblical in scale when he spoke to the daily mail;

Every other actor who’s ever put on a superhero uniform will be in it. There’s an element of time travel and, naturally, it will be action-packed.

That’s a whole lot of trendy black leather outfits. Someone keep Paul McCartney away from this flick. That’s also one hell of an ambitious task for Singer and co to work with. While the film has already confirmed that actors James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult are on board, it’s going to be fun to see how they interact with their older and younger selves.

Which could mean quite a few brief moments featuring the two generations of mutants. Halle Berry will most likely don a silver wig again, seeing as how she seems to be under an Oscar curse right now, but I’m going to be kind of thrilled if Kelsey Grammar dons the blue fur once more for a second turn as the Beast. One of the very, very few good moves that director Brett Ratner actually made when he took on filming duties.

Here’s a list of all the actors so far to have played an X-man/women:

  • Logan/Wolverine – Hugh Jackman
  • Charles Xavier – Patrick Stewart
  • Cyclops – James Marsden
  • Havok – Lucas Till
  • Beast – Kelsey Grammar/ Nicholas Hoult
  • Storm – Halle Berry
  • Banshee – Caleb Jones
  • Nightcrawler – Alan Cumming
  • Angel – Ben Foster
  • Colossus – Daniel Cudmore
  • Jean Grey/Phoenix – Famke Janssen
  • Iceman – Shawn Ashmore
  • Rogue – Anna Paquin
  • Shadowcat – Ellen Page

Word of warning: If Singer manages to sell his soul and get so many actors into the film, stand clear of any film and comic book fans when they hear their news. Because heads will explode. X-Men: Days of future past is set for 2014, but you can catch Logan in The Wolverine later this year.
