This weekend past saw the latest chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor: The Dark World, thunder its way into local cinemas. Despite the fact that it had some flaws, I walked out of it grinning like an idiot due to it’s invigorating action sequences, epic mythology, high fidelity visuals and constant laugh out loud humour.

But did you guys agree?

As always, this discussions is for people who have seen the movie, so beware the SPOILERS if you haven’t.

  1. By Odin’s beard, where is Odin now that Loki is on the throne once again? And what a stupid end credit scene with the infinity stone, that was really bad as far as acting is concerned?? Other than that, It was really good, must agree with the visuals part, it was awesome.

Just a note: This is a spoiler friendly zone. Says so quite clearly up top.

It says beware of spoilers. It is not a spoiler free zone

Hence why I said “spoiler friendly zone”, not “spoiler free”. 😀

Hi Cyril, I’d like to think that this is a civil site for one to express viewpoints etc. If you read above article correctly you would have seen the last paragraph says: “As always, this discussion is for people who have seen the movie, so beware the SPOILERS if you haven’t.” From your response it is quite clear that you haven’t seen the movie, so then you shouldn’t have read any responses as it will contain spoilers. What don’t you understand regarding spoilers??

I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were a few places where the story seemed to jump a bit too quickly or conveniently, but it was nothing major. Even the Kat Dennings comedy relief scenes didn’t irritate me as much as I thought they would after all the complaints I heard. Loki surprised me at the end, be really interesting to see where the next one goes from there.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Imax took my breath away (so happy to live in Durban). I went with a crowd of 28, and every single one of us not only loved the movie, but thought the extra moolah we had to pay for the Imax was well worth it. I enjoyed the multiple nods to the comic book geeks. In my top 5 of all Marvel movies, and I will be watching it again (in Imax)!

I enjoyed it very much! Have seen it twice, and totally thinking about seeing it again!! The music is just marvelours, the acting is awesome, Loki is totally sassy and just plain, flat-out, the best character on screen, the scenes are well done, and there is alot of emotional appeal. 😀
