We’ve all grown up with horror movies, from big-name franchises such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, through to slasher flicks from the Scream series and beyond. But those aren’t the only fright films in existence. There have been a ton of small budget chillers, which haven’t had much a spotlight directed onto them. And it’s time that they got some recognition.
The 50 Best Horror Movies You’ve Never Seen focuses on, naturally, 50 lesser-known horror flicks hailed by critics and genre fans as “absolute must-sees” and are given the spotlight with fun, engaging commentary from journalists, directors, actors and critics in a countdown like no other. Stalkers, monsters, slashers, evil dolls, terrorized babysitters, holiday maniacs, mannequins, eerie motels, even giant rats, they’re all featured.
I’ve got to be honest, I don’t think that I’ve seen any of the movies in that documentary. Mostly because I’m a massive coward who took a week off from work after spotting a spider in the shower, but still. There’s some real niche content there amongst all the gore. And it looks fantastic.
The 50 Best Horror Movies You’ve Never Seen is on VOD services and iTunes right now.

I think the people ‘presenting’ are far more terrifying than the movies they are counting down…
