It is a great age for animated TV. While I’m still patiently waiting for The Simpsons to finally be cancelled, there are a plethora of far superior TV shows out there that cater to the more adult market. Top of my list, would easily be Archer. The ongoing activities of secret agent Sterling Archer and his co-workers over at ISIS (Not that ISIS), has resulted in five seasons of manic fun so far. Season five in particular had the ISIS crew orking against the law, culminating in an entire country being destroyed by their shenanigans. But in season six, it’s time to get back to busting terrorism and keeping the world safe. And phrasing.
I have way too much love for this series. It took the animation style pioneered in Frisky Dingo, and combined it with sharp writing, great characters and storylines that had absolutely massive jokes running throughout entire seasons. And I may have an animated crush on Cheryl as well.
The new season kicks off next year. That’s a hell of a long wait for me.

I read a while back that they’re dropping the ISIS name for the agency because of those other nitwits.
