Clothes make the man, and you can bet that batsuits make the Batman. There’s something primal about the latest incarnation of the batsuit worn by Ben Affleck in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Just Juiced Up. Something genuinely terrifying and creepy. Because let’s face facts, if a gym boet dressed as the Batman came after you, you’d be ruining your pants within seconds.

With the internet forcing Warner Bros to unleash the Batman V Superman trailer a tad bit earlier than expected instead of at the planned Monday IMAX event, director Zack Snyder came up with an alternate way to thank fans for attending.

First, he tweeted this beast of a look at the new batsuit:

Thanks to everyone that turned out for the screenings tonight!

Second, it looks like those in attendance did actually get to see some new Batman V Superman after all. Six whole seconds to be exact. SlashFilm has a wrap-up of what exactly was shown:

After the logo, the footage comes back to the showdown. First you see Superman pull up his arm and start to run. Then Batman does the same. Then a shot shows both superheroes running at each other full speed and just when they’re about to collide – it cuts. Three shots, six seconds.

But wait, there’s more! Bleacher Report teamed up with Warner Bros and basketball sports person DeAndre Jordan for a tour that featured more of the costumes in the film, as well as the new Batmobile:

If you can’t see the video, then here’s a few screen captures which show off the surprising amount of colour in Wonder Woman’s costume and the battle-tarnished nature of the new Batsuit:

I like how much more colourful WW’s costume is here. That first pic had so much post-processing that you really didn’t get a good feel for it.

I’m so glad there are good movies to keep me distracted until 2016
