You know there was a time when the Wachowski siblings could do bi wrong, when they shared a sort of Midas touch. Of course that was due to their Matrix Trilogy. I know many don’t like the second and third movies but I actually did (though admittedly not as much as the first). However, after the abomination that is Jupiter Ascending and a rather lukewarm Cloud Atlas (which I’ve never been able to sit all the way through) I am a tad skeptical of their upcoming new TV series called Sense8. That being said it does look mighty pretty (don’t most of their movies?)
There isn’t much info out there but it looks like eight random people around the globe suddenly become mentally connected allowing them to access each other’s skills, memories and abilities, which they will need as they are being hunted. Which admittedly actually sounds pretty awesome.
You know what else is awesome? It’s coming to Netflix, the service that brought us Daredevil (If you haven’t seen it, read why you should here!) and is being co-developed with Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski. All 12 episodes will be available on 5 June meaning no waiting after those pesky cliffhangers! Have a watch of the rather cool trailer (also note some of the very Matrix-esque shots).
Looks good, hey?! It has a rather great line up too that includes Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Tina Desai, Doona Bae, Aml Ameen, Daryl Hannah, Naveen Andrews, Terrence Mann, Freema Agyeman, Alfonso Herrera , Erendira Ibarra, Adam Shapiro, Ness Bautista and Joe Pantoliano.
And here are some pics for Sense8 as well, courtesy of ComingSoon.net.

I actually did not mind Jupiter Ascending. I went in with low expectations and found it to be a rather enjoyable no brainer.

“Few know what it means to be… reborn a… sens8.”
“A what?”
“Thank you for proving my point. I was being utterly literal.”
