Nick and I will be attending the press screening for Jurassic World tomorrow afternoon and we just could not be more excited. For Nick it’s because he has a man-crush on star Chris Pratt the likes of which is normally only seen between a 12-year old girl and Justin Bieber. For me, it’s just because this movie is looking so damn good.

I may not have jumped aboard the hype train when this movie was initially announced as 20-years later sequels to beloved franchises tend to have a habit of ending up a giant steaming pile of triceratops poo, but the more I’ve seen of it (and heard from folks who have watched it already), the more stoked I’ve become to go back to Isla Nubar and hang out with some old dino friends (who may want to eat us).

And this latest, supposedly final international trailer certainly isn’t doing anything to derail that hype train, as it goes light on the dialogue but ups the dread factor considerably, mixing some familiar footage with new shots of crazy dino action.

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park (1993), Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor’s interest, which backfires horribly.

Along with that trailer Collider has also release this compilation of 5 clips from the film which gives us some new footage to ogle.

Jurassic World was directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) and written by Treverrow with Derek Connolly (Flight of the Navigator remake) off a draft by the screenwriting duo of Rick Jaffa &
Amanda Silver (Planet of the Apes franchise). It also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, and Judy Greer. It is scheduled for release on June 12, 2015.

On one hand we play games where we hunt Dinosaurs with spears, bows, and various mesolithic technologies. On the other hand, Jurassic Park. #Ain’tFuckingWithNoTRex
