Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most iconic action heroes of all time, so it may come as quite the shocker to find that despite his new movie Maggie being set in a post-zombie apocalypse world, this is not an action movie. No, instead action hero Arnie is actually required to only do the first three letters of that descriptor: act.
You can see some of that unexpected acting in this new trailer for Maggie, which sees Arnie as a father who has to deal with his daughter, played by Abigail Breslin, slowly becoming one of the undead in a world where zombification is just another disease. Sure he packs a shotgun at one point, but this is definitely not the Arnie we’re used to seeing. Which kind of makes me want to see it real bad!
There’s a deadly zombie epidemic threatening humanity, but Wade (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a small-town farmer and family man, refuses to accept defeat even when his daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin) becomes infected. As Maggie’s condition worsens and the authorities seek to eradicate those with the virus, Wade is pushed to the limits in an effort to protect her. Joely Richardson co-stars in this post-apocalyptic thriller
Maggie hits the international markets on July 24, but we’re going to have to wait until November 20 – yes, you read that right – to see it here!
